As an aside, my mother had her stars read by one of these con artists about 10 years ago. They told her she would have a huge financial gain that would set her up for the rest of her life. She was told this would happen within five years. She's still working by the way. Astrology is total garbage.

It's astrology - just take Astros if and when he bothers, and you'll be able to identify yourself in it, just like you can identify yourself when you read the fortunes for Gemini despite being an Aquarius, or whatever you care to be (seeing as even star signs are technically out of date nowadays).

Anyway, I had a look at the reference you mentioned

And it doesn't mention anything about connecting Forstemann to 2012. All it says is that Hoopes believes the 2012 phenomenon started with Coe, not Forstemann.

And relying on Forstemann's book, without any outside commentary, would be essay writing, not reportage. You still don't get how Wikipedia works, Ray.

It not been a vacation. I have been refining my understanding of the "Serpent Numbers" in the Dresden Codex. These are the numbers Ernst Forstemann used circa 1880 to first predict the "end of the world". This prophecy wasn't connected to the 13-baktun/2012 date until Michael D. Coe, a CIA operative, did so in the 1960's. So POD, what are you doing posting here with these "haters"? Oh, never mind.
