They aren't. See http://pole.uchicago.edu The SPT is a microwave telescope. It doesn't produce 'images' like Keck or Hubble. However, if you go to that website and click through to the publications, there are some nice graphics of the texture of the cosmic microwave background, which is what that instrument studies.

If you wouldn't mind though, instead of worrying about everything at once, let's break it down and look at each piece. I think that you will find out very quickly that the 'coincidences' that are concerning you are artifacts of what Michael Shermer calls 'patternicity'.

Er … the South Pole Telescope 1) is not a NASA facility (but is funded by the NSF) and 2) is not a visible light telescope. It is a radio telescope.

SOHO is a sun-gazing satellite observatory that has been in orbit since 1995. You can download its latest data daily at the mission website.

Coincidence doesn't imply causation, and it's pretty darn hard for something that doesn't exist to cause anything.

There is no recorded increase in activity, animals die in large numbers all the time from all manner of causes, the weather again shows nothing out of the ordinary and one mans' 'strange' is another mans' obvious. I've seen what I couldn't identify in the sky, but someone else may know what it is instantly. You might see a 'strange' cloud formation somewhere in the world, but locals might see it every other week.

And perfectly explained within hours, by both officials and armchair detectives, all coming to the same physically viable, evidence derived conclusion, in that case a rocket failure.

Because they aren't interesting, they aren't even photos, the SPT is an infrared telescope, it doesn't see the sky in visible light, so it doesn't take pretty pictures for the world to see, it takes blobs of greyscale measurements if I recall - the numbers it records are far more important than what they look like.

They aren't, but how many people are directly studying the cosmic microwave background radiation and require a look through the archives? It's not exactly an area the public want to see, and so it ends up being rather more cumbersome to get access to, and what you find, as I've said above, isn't interesting unless you know what you're looking at.

And to stress the point, coincidence doesn't imply causation, or even a link between them all - that list of yours before each had explainable elements, you didn't need to invoke a mysterious planet to find out why animals died, and you don't need to see an unknown light in the sky to determine why an earthquake started. The events aren't linked and don't require fantasy objects at any stage.
