This is a logical fallacy, one of biased research (although the actual name of the fallacy escapes me).

Science and research cannot be biased.

Also I love how 2012-ers use astrology to support their outrageous astronomical claims for their doomsday theories. Astrology is not a science, but a pseudo-science, and has relevance in the scientifical field of astronomy.

Anyway, I remember in 5th grade (2005-2006) I was forced to watch a movie that talked about 12-21-12. Even then I thought the idea was stupid, that they believed the world would end that day maybe because it was a bunch of one's and two's in a date.

New planet crashing into the earth? I'll read about this on this site, how entertaining. Another story thrown into the air for people to use as 'evidence' for 2012. Does this mean Japan's earthquake, a big 9.0 earthquake with massive tsunami's around the pacific ocean (bless those Japanese, I really hope they're doing better, what destruction!), is going to be used as further proof that 2012 is real? Why would anyone use a tragedy such as that as a way to try and prove a silly theory? Well, "One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic."

Great website, I especially love reading people's arguments on the end of the world being true. Some people get so stuck into what they want to believe, they become dead plants, no matter how much you water them, they reject it, and will not come to life.

My friends and I are planning on making shirts for 2013 that say 'Guess what..' on the front and 'WE'RE STILL HERE!' on the back. Would be pretty fun to have a bunch of people do it :)

I'm waiting for anymore daffy theories cropping up on the "History Channel" because after all if it's on there it must be true.
There have been so many prophesies of Doomsday over the last few years it seems plenty of idiots need to pick on something to panic about. I cannot wait until all those jackasses emerge from their bunkers on Dec 23rd with nothing happened with the excuse that "They just got the date wrong it'll happen next year!" Every year the same, always a doomsday date in some cult or other, just enough to make people panic, just enough to make them spend money on emergency items, but places in sheters etc anly to find…. "oh… nothing happened." Millennium bug a case in point. Everyone going mad "the end of the world!!! it's been predicted!!! Make peace with your God!!" Picture it: Jan 2nd 2000. Nothing happened and lots of suddenly silent doomsayers lost for something to do. "I know!" says one such idiot "Lets choose 2012 for doomsday!!" "Yayyyy!!!" says the rest of them as they immediately start making up conspiracy theories to infect the internet with.

I personally believe there WILL be a disaster in 2012. It'll be caused by panicked people actually falling for the crock the multiple conspiracy theorists are putting out.

Well done site owners of the 2012 Hoax. I have put a link to this on Facebook in an attempt to educate any panicked friends, in particular a couple of my friends children who think we are all going to die horribly next year. If you mentally invested so much in this to be true, and nothing happens, then these people have no other choice than to search for something new because they won't accept that they have wasted their lives for so many years in being scared.
