I think I was wrong saying that Kalopin started that thread. Not necessarily. I think someone else started it and brought up Kalopin's ideas. But anyways…

Didn't want to create a new thread just for this. Not sure if any of you spotted this but it appears our old friend Kalopin has taken his deluded ranting to David Morrisons ask an astrobiologist page. Morrisons response is pretty much exactly what numerous people here told him.

We all live on this same ball flying through space with noone at the controls. We all know that so many objects exist with each having its own trajectory, and so far no way to control them either. The fact we have no defense or offense has produced justifiable paranoia. Can we find common ground, a consensus, to understand how precious our time here is, and to try to give the innocent little next generation, at least as much as we have had? I know how I feel about my children, so I feel it would be a magnificent accomplishment to at least try to give them a little more security than we have had. So ask our leaders to consider putting down the bullets and picking up the plans. To give the ones with the knowledge the ways and means to protect this little oasis, so we can all evolve, reshape, reprioritize, find a better tomorrow, and understand how important ALL life is to each animal personally!

To get this thread back on track, David Morrison has replied to comments on his recent YouTube video, posted 3 weeks ago, which gives an update on Nibiru (Summary: It still doesn't exist).
Myself, obaeyens, ThreeFangCat and some others have been doing our best to prevent the thread being taken over by doomsday nutcases. David Morrison dubs us the 'truth police'.
Here is the first part of his 4 part reply:

First: I do not lie, never have, and never will, about scientific issues. That would be both unethical and stupid, since lies will be found out.
Second, my video was not scripted. And none of the critiques have undermined my conclusion that Nibiru does not exist. Instead they stoop to insults and personal attacks.

Uh-huh. Of course, no scientist has actually said that is the case. We're plunging headlong toward solar maximum, and sunspots have been a near daily reality this year, comets or no.

I reallty just wanted to know if they knew if the radiation was gonna go higher.

The answer to that question is in the very article you referenced previously, if only you could be bothered to pay attention and think.

I was reading an article that came out 9/23/09 about cosmic rays at an all time high, and the graph showed them rising even higher through 2011 It said they had raised significantly and were 19% higher than the last fifty years, Is there an updated graph to show the actual amount of cosmic rays just outside our atmosphere? Does this mean astronauts will need better shielding? Do you believe more radiation is getting through the ozone to us?

Of course, anybody who bothers to actually study things like this should be able to tell you that cosmic rays levels always increase as solar activity dips. Since the Sun was still veeeery quiet in 2009, a veeeery high level of cosmic rays should be totally unsurprising. 'Kay, sport? Glad to help.

Keep going, and you're about to get introduced to the Ivan Protocol. It's a fun little game we introduced a while back, because as much as we value open discussion and such, some trolls just can't seem to quit.

Is this Professor Morrison that works for Ames Research Center? I didn't get the wrong Ames Ressearch Center, did I? Isn't David Morrison involved with many current missions, some of which include the health of the environment? I would consider finding a NEO before an impact part of the health of our environment, wouldn't you?
And didn't this gut Tomy2011 start in with something aboutsome Nibiru conspiracy?

It is my belief we all need to lose the complacancy and arrogance! There are so many intracacies and variables to consider, so many different scenerios, most of which haven't even been considered. I mean, to know that at any point, anything can fall from space and hit anywhere and just to accept it? What if a meteor or even some of our own space junk were to hit a refinery, chemical plant or maybe a nuclear power plant?, and we steadily build without adequate safety, who feels responsible? There should be a much greater sense of urgancy, and much more capitol spent trying to map out our path. I think its wonderful what NASA has attempted lately trying to find all the NEOs, and with such little funding, and although I wasn't to thrilled to find out that J.F.K. was responsible for blasting a nuke out in the stratusphere, I think it would be great if we could find another leader with as much fortitude and ideals to reshape current thinking.

The author of such an incoherent piece wouldn't know correct maths if it hit him in the face.
Anyone who says "have you tried macrocosmic orbit meditation?" is probably beyond help. Why pay any attention to this sort of nonsense?

First lesson. Never take anyones word for it just because they say so. This person shows no math whatsoever, so how can we judge if it's correct or not. This is a baseless assertion, it's meaningless.

Second lesson, beware anyone who says:

meditation will tie all you ignorant 'sheeples' to the same universal energy

It's the "I know something you don't know" argument. He's claiming that people who take a reputable source like NASA and believe their data are sheep. Typical woo speak, ignore it.

I love this part:

And? This is an appeal to authority, this person thinks that because he's an engineer, it gives his story a bit more credit. He could be a transparent wall engineer (aka a window cleaner) for all we know, so saying "I am engineer" is once again a baseless assertion.
