I don't know, how would you feel if everything you had ever observed and understood about reality, right down to the core of how you assemble and process information, proved to be false? Because that's pretty much what it would take for 2012 claims to pan out.

That you did not take all the precautions to protect your family or friends.

I hope you've taken precautions for the coming of Godzilla, because that's far more likely than anything claimed by 2012 doomsayers.

The event here is not real, but they will probably try and make it real in their heads. Seeing things that don't exist, because they want to see them.

Something will happen on December 21, 2012. What it is or how exactly it is going to go down, no one can really say yet, but something WILL happen, this much Biblical scholars, scientists, political analysts and astronomers agree.

Quite a statement, and quite false, actually. Scientists can't even agree that the Mayan calendar "ends" on that date.

While doing research for a video, I ran across a reference here to a presentation called "Understanding 2012". That presentation was made by Jim Reed, who's Editor of the monthly newsletter of the Institute for Maya Studies (IMS). He's also on the Board of Directors of The Maya Conservancy, whose Secretary of the Board is the owner of Guatemala's Jades, S.A.

Both The Maya Conservancy and the Guatemalan jade interests are enthusiastic promoters of John Major Jenkins. But I hadn't known that the IMS is, too.

Here's some of what I found:

Problem I have is that there is soooo much written material and people believe this stuff that I have to sit back and just shake my head. Just because some one came up with stuff that seems to make sense doesn't make it so. Thinking of Jenkins and Calleman and their proof. Sounds good has proof, etc, and is in book form, but……

On the one hand, we want to illustrate some of the scams surrounding the 2012 hoax. On the other hand, we don't want to give these scammers any more traffic.

We're hoping that by illustrating a few examples we will get our point across.
