No one in their right mind is going to get even half educated people to believe that a section of space, which is clearly blocked out, was a glitch, freak accident or what ever.

It amazes me that people thinks that something must be hidden because google does not show it while it is plain visible in the nights sky by just looking up! Get a pair of binoculars, get a telescope or use robotic telescopes available to anyone over the whole world to to check it yourself. And yes you can even hire a professional telescope wit IR filtering.

If you have seen many stars and planets in your lifetime through a real telescope with your own eyes, you immediately spot the fakeness big time. I also know photo-shop enough to understand how to fake it.

Then, i found a picture of mars this one, and added some texture, so it ended up looking like this. The texture i used is from a stone i personality shot.

this might SOUND real, but where do you see the links? Where do you see the so called goverment, confirmation? Really .. Okay, i see a giant purple dragon, boosted by fairy dust fly over your house tomorrow. Would you believe that? No? Why is that any different?

How does someone do that? Especially, how do they do that when the region in question is one of the most heavily watched regions in the sky? We're talking about some of the most beautiful deep sky objects you can look at!

You can find out what you're looking at not through Google Sky, but through the likes of Stellarium, or apps for your smartphone. Plug in your location, set a time of day and see what's out there. No 'censorship' either, as Stellarium shows data based on cold hard maths, rather than decades old imagery.

Finally, I leave with some common sense. In the world of Photoshop, do you really - really - expect someone like Google to resort to a big, black rectangle to hide something?

If this is going to get any more off topic Russell, I ask you start a thread elsewhere (even if it's all been answered before, it doesn't really belong in a Don Yeomans discussion).

If blocked parts of space were/have been found, should be real easy to fix the problem. Not post whats supposed to be there somewhere else and tell people they should get it right..(and believe what they are shown) .what a joke. I typed in hundreds of possible random coords and found no others like it. In a past career I did a lot of work in the magazine industry designing ads. That blocked portion of space is not some glitch to me at all. It is a pasted object over that area. its easy to see. Solid sharp 90' corners, perfect rectangle… come on. it almost looks like the handles are still it for god sakes.

Edit: Incidentally I'm bemused at how many people take them seriously, they look absolutely terrible. I guess if you're in the right or perhaps wrong mindset you just run with it, take it as it's presented.

Good, because the words are false, the music is bland, the alignments are nonsense and the object is indeed not Jupiter. It's a known photoshopped hoax. I'm sorry if I'm the bearer of bad news there, but it's very much old news, and hardly news at that.

So what, you've decidedly to completely ignore the fact (that's 'fact' as in 'truth') that you can find the original data Google et al use, and lo and behold it isn't in any way damaged, censored, blacked out? Please tell us you've done this, or at the very least have read it.

Well by that sentence I'm going to guess you didn't bother to read any of our pages here. Shame, you might have learned something. If I sound harsh, it's because you are pretty much a carbon copy of the people I've dealt with on YouTube in the past, perhaps even on mirrors of that video, else one of the countless other imitations.

In short Russell, give it up. That stuff is nonsense, and it's well known nonsense, it won't fly round these parts.
