Yes, all the scientists of the world disagree with the doomsday claims for 2012 because they are just impossible. Also, all the serious mayanists disagree with the claimed "mayan prediction". Could all of them be wrong? I really don't think so.

Other then that, it seems as a pretty good documentary, explaning the theories, without supporting them.

Even when these documentaries seem to only explain the theories, to me they are a bit tendentious most of the times.

I had seen posts months, or maybe over a year ago, about the Discovery Channel having jumped on the doomsday bandwagon. I always hope that when they have completely unqualified people saying the scientists may be wrong, that anyone with more than 3 functioning brain cells will ignore the idiots and listen to the scientists.
One of the favorite tricks of people making these schlockumentaries is to take an innoccuous statement made by a scientist and then go right to a doomsayer making it sound as if it is something new or dangerous. I quit watching both the Hysteria Channel and the Discovery Channel because of this garbage. They no longer deserve to be considered educational channels.

I don't even need to watch it. The narrator is always the one who hits a person's subconcious while the concious is focused on doom images and music to boot with the 2012 nonsense. I will watch it when I feel like becoming pissed off, but right now I am having a peaceful day so I'll watch it later. lol That being said I can probably guess that the dramatic music plays while the narrator delivers his bilge and dribble. Scenes of doom and gloom are there to accompany the dramatic music and then he will cast a shadow of doubt upon what scientists will explain. It's always crap when the stern voice of a narrator goes "But" "But" "But what if" or in this case "but the scientists could be wrong".

Because apparently the filmmakers were left unsatisfied when none of the scientists would give them doom and gloom, so they hired a contrarian narrator to "scare" you. It's entertainment, not science.

Becauses that how they keep the ratings… thats how they say, we are supposidly netrual not on any side of the coin sitting on the fence…

Doom and gloom sells, humans like to be scared… It's all for entertainment, nothing more.

Well the shows on hysteriachannel does not seem to promote that 2012 would be true.
However they give the impression that they do.
But when you re-watch the shows and carefully listen to what they say, they basically debunk it.

What they do is build up a dramatic tension, but when you are scared you overlook the parts that says that it is not happening.

Adam is one of the debunkers right?

Discovery Channel in Spanish is always talking about 2012 and prophecy's annoying!!
